In my time at Todd Reed I’ve seen quite a few custom designs come out of the shop. Recently, I was lucky enough to be a part of a custom design. Using my mom and grandmothers diamonds I had a ring made, I also had my mom’s engagement ring reset for her.
The ring I had made for myself used diamonds from my mom and both of my grandmothers. The diamonds were given to me at high school graduation and got set into a pendant that I rarely wore.
My mom hasn’t worn her engagement ring in years because it didn’t stack with her band. She and my dad picked the diamond out over 36 years ago – it’s a pretty stone, but the setting was very dated.
One of our talented jewelers, Claire made both rings and we are so happy with how they turned out!
I now have a delicate ring with my sentimental diamonds that I’ve been wearing daily – a much better alternative to keeping them in a dusty jewelry box.
My mom can now stack her rings and plans to wear her engagement ring more often.
