If you’ve ever visited our Boulder studio location, perhaps you may have noticed our window displays on Pearl Street. If so, we hope that you took a minute of out your day to admire them – and if we were successful in catching your eye, we hope that they made your day just a little bit brighter.
As a company who centers itself around the concept of ‘all things handmade,’ we find a number of opportunities to exploit the creative energy that exists within our walls. One of the ways we accomplish this is by changing out our window displays every 4 months. Each display originates from a variety of concepts, but they all have one thing in common: they’re handmade from start to finish.
Our latest display was a collaborative effort between Todd and one of our very talented Sales girls, Miranda. They met over a series of brainstorming sessions, each time bringing a handful of fresh ideas to the table which lead to a variety of concepts and sketches. As a carryover from Todd’s Design After Dark project, he was still in a sculptural frame of mind, especially relating to rocks and geodes. Therefore, the two of them decided to draw inspiration for the new displays from rock cairns.
