In 2011 Todd Reed and Peter Schmid of Aletier Zobel collaborated on a collection of jewelry.
“Play is the heart of the creative process; it is the expression of creative freedom. Without pretext, context or isms, artists can play with objects within an immediate environment animating concepts as they develop.”
Each piece in the collection includes an unfinished piece from each of their respective studios. They played, discussed and sketched out compositions for the final pieces. Both teams of goldsmiths took the sketches to finished concept.
