Must Visit: Gjusta

Todd Reed Gjusta

Being only a block from Gjelina, it’s hard not to eat their pizza for lunch daily, but sometimes you have to mix it up. Luckily, the owners of Gjelina recently opened a new restaurant called Gjusta.

Gjusta is a bit off of Abbot Kinney on Sunset Ave. It’s tucked away and not very noticeable – if you didn’t know it was there, you might miss it. When you enter around lunchtime though, inside is bustling. It’s set up like a warehouse and all of their breads are baked on-site.

We had the parsnip soup with a curry oil drizzled on top, roasted sweet potatoes with a cilantro cream sauce, and roasted cauliflower. Also, a delicious quiche with flaky crust. We had a brownie that was chocolate, moist and delicious.

Gjusta also is said to have amazing coffee. In Venice and looking for a place to eat? Definitely check out both Gjusta and Gjelina!
