Last week we hosted a ‘Meet the Designer’ event at our Venice showroom, which was organized by the Women’s Jewelry Association. The night included an interview with Todd by the style editor at Los Angeles Magazine, Linda Immediato, in front of fifty jewelry lovers. Attendee and advocate for our brand, Benjamin (@thirdcoastgems on Instagram), shares his experience below.
“When I finally made it up to the Todd Reed West Coast flagship in Venice Beach, I knew I had arrived. As many of you already know, everything about the brand Todd Reed is recognizable. Every part of the building echos his brands DNA. The living wall and the inviting showroom were definitely my favorite parts of the boutique. I would also like to highlight how the Todd Reed’s branding elegantly combines nature and man in such an organic way. Todd is a visionary and passionate designer. He is not only involved in the design and production of his pieces, but also the communities in which he does business, which is something Millennials, myself included, greatly appreciate.
The Todd Reed LA team opened their doors for a wonderful Women’s Jewelry Association event. It was a chance to meet the designer himself, get insight into how his career has unfolded, and a glimpse into the future of modern retailing. To be able to tour his new facility was an absolute dream. The clean lines, local artwork, and the design aesthetic were true to who Todd is as a person and a designer. Nicki Gluckman of the new jewelry brand Line+Hue, Harvinder Keila of Kaura Jewels, and Jen C. Williams of Luxury Brand Group also echoed my sentiments.
Todd Reed’s new gentleman’s line also caught my eye. His durable and wearable rings, leather bracelets, and gem studded belt buckles are not only for the special occasions in our life, but also for the everyday modern man that wants to accentuate his masculinity. This night with Todd Reed cemented what I had already known about him: that he is not only talented, humble, and charitable, but he also gives back to the community of jewelry professionals he came from.”
