This week Greenwich Jewelers is hosting a special Todd Reed event at their store which also includes a personal appearance from Todd.
Greenwich Jewelers is a second generation jewelry store opened in 1976 by Carl and Milly Gandia. Now run by their daughters, Christina and Jennifer, the store has new life while holding onto the core values that originally inspired the business.
I spoke with Jennifer about their neighborhood, brand and love for Todd’s designs.
The Neighborhood:
“There is so much happening in the financial district! With the recent completion of One World Trade and the September 11th memorial, there are new people and creative energy in the area with even more to come. One of Jennifer’s favorite spots is Le District, an authentic French shopping area with markets and upscale dining. Her favorite place to eat in Le District is Beaubourg – it serves delicious French food and is right on the water. She also mentioned Delmonico’s, which is a classic NYC restaurant. The neighborhood is blending old and new in an exciting way.”
The Brand:
“2016 marks Greenwich Jeweler’s 40th year in business. The store, like the neighborhood is going through a refresh. While they add new designer lines, they continue growing their relationships with current designers. Jennifer mentioned that they’ve been carrying Todd Reed for over four years. In the months ahead, Greenwich Jewelers will be relaunching their brand and putting a new face forward.”
The Jewelry:
Jennifer and her sister, Christina, choose to carry jewelry that is inspiring, high quality and distinct. They want their clients to come in to discover fresh designers.
What Jennifer loves about Todd’s designs is their simplicity. She notes our engagement rings which are classic, timeless and although simple, they have many carefully considered details. She also is very excited about the new designs coming out of our shop that are geometric and play with space but also stay true to the raw feel.
