This week our California Dreams became a reality, our showroom on Abbot Kinney Blvd is officially open.
Todd, because of his love for the ocean and his connection to the Venice community, has been working towards a California showroom for many years. What we love most about our second home is how many creative, passionate people live and work on our new street. The area is very similar to Boulder, easy-going, casual and supportive of artists. We feel as though we fit in well.
We, along with our architect Tres Birds, documented the 6-month construction process.
The building only needed some interior changes and enhancements, because it was already designed beautifully. Prior to us moving in the building was a marketing agency – it sits at the end of Abbot Kinney Blvd near Steven Alan, Alexis Bittar and an amazing Sushi restaurant called Shima.
Some of the remodel took place in Boulder, building elements for the space.
And the rest, of course, took place near the Pacific.
The results are breathtaking. The space is so stunning, but still has some similar design features to our Boulder space.
The front of the building:
The first floor, which is meant to feel like a gallery. Behind the showroom area is a workshop with four jewelers working. That is where all of the men’s jewelry will be made. The green wall is made up of over 1,000 live plants and is two stories high.
Head up the stairs to the Bridal Suite. The intimate selling spaces make for a very personal environment to find the perfect ring. Behind this showroom is an open-air courtyard, a small office and a residence.
The third floor is great for parties and is another space to have a private showing of jewels. With two balconies and plenty of windows to open, the breeze flows through the space creating the most relaxing vibe.
Next time you are in California, come visit us at 1511 Abbot Kinney Blvd!
